Solidcore Names Anne Bonaparte President and CEO to Build on Record Q1 Momentum
Company Poised for Accelerated Global Expansion
CUPERTINO, Calif., May 12, 2008 — Solidcore® Systems, Inc., the leading provider of software to detect and prevent unwanted change, today announced the appointment of Anne Bonaparte as president and chief executive officer (CEO). Bonaparte will build on Solidcore's record-setting first quarter momentum and sales, and lead Solidcore through the company's next stage of growth. Anne succeeds Solidcore founder Rosen Sharma, who remains on the executive staff and board of directors, and is named chief technology officer (CTO) to continue directing the company's technology innovation.
"Anne is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of delivering market-defining products and building high-performing teams," said Rosen Sharma. "Her deep experience and strong leadership skills will be pivotal in accelerating Solidcore's growth."
In addition to Bonaparte's appointment, Solidcore also announced the completion of its most successful quarter to-date with a record number of new customer transactions. The increase in new business included two new individual record-setting multi-million dollar customer transactions. Both of these new customers selected Solidcore in competitive battles where Solidcore's change control software provided an easier, more cost-effective means for validating Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance, and the unique ability to prevent unwanted changes that could cause service outages and compliance risks.
Anne Bonaparte was most recently president and CEO of Tablus, where she established the company as a leader in the data loss prevention market, increased customer adoption to record levels, and ultimately led the company's acquisition by EMC. Prior to Tablus, Bonaparte was president and CEO of MailFrontier, where she established the company as a globally recognized brand, dramatically accelerated organizational growth, and spearheaded the company's acquisition by SonicWALL. In addition, Bonaparte has led global multi-channel teams at VeriSign, Autodesk and Hewlett-Packard, and was also the founder of Buzzsaw, the leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of design collaboration and project management applications for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.
"Solidcore is well-positioned in the market with exceptional products and a growing customer base," said Bonaparte. "I look forward to building on the company's current momentum and increasing the global adoption of Solidcore's product offerings that help customers achieve unmatched levels of compliance, security and availability."
