Solidcore Launches
Public Sector Group to Focus on Federal,
State, and Local Government and Critical
Infrastructure Providers
CTO E. John Sebes
Named General Manager of New Division of
U.S.-Based Leader in IT Operations Control
PALO ALTO, California
— July 06, 2005 — Solidcore
Systems, Inc., the leading U.S. developer
of IT control solutions, today announced
the launch of its Public Sector Division
under the leadership of CTO E. John Sebes.
The new group is focused on the needs of
federal, state, and local government as
well as public sector providers of critical
infrastructure services.
"There is an urgent
need at all levels of government to develop
and maintain control of IT infrastructure
and operations," said Mr. Sebes. "Solidcore
has restructured to focus its public sector
efforts by creating dedicated teams for
direct sales, system integration, channel
management, and technical support for government
and government contractors. We are continuing
to work with and expand our activities with
longstanding partners in private industry,
various branches of the Department of Defense
and the Armed Forces, as well as with a
wide variety of government resellers."
Solidcore helps government
agencies and businesses gain proactive control
of their IT operations. The company's "deploy
and forget" Solidification(TM) technology
delivers proactive and categorical control
of IT systems, with extremely low operational
impact and no requirement for skilled IT
staff for configuration, operations, or
ongoing management. Integrating Solidification,
Solidcore's solutions provide benefits related
to change control, continuous compliance,
and security.
Within the public
sector, Solidcore is focusing special attention
on critical infrastructure provider (CIP)
organizations, the defense and intelligence
sectors of the federal government, and the
federal civilian sector. CIP organizations,
whether owned by state and local government
or by private industry, operate physical
facilities that deliver critical services
such as water, power, telecommunications,
and transportation.
The defense and intelligence
sectors have strict information assurance
requirements for security and control. These
organizations can utilize Solidcore's deploy
and forget solutions to meet stringent information
assurance (IA) requirements for change control
and security control, particularly in forward-fielded
environments with low to no IT support to
manage IA. Solidcore uniquely meets these
and other defense and intelligence requirements.
