WorkingRx Deploys Change Control from Solidcore to Improve Compliance and Service Availability
Eliminates Ad Hoc Change on Workers' Compensation Claims Processing Servers and Reduces Costs Previously Incurred for Monitoring Change
CUPERTINO, Calif., July 30, 2007 – Solidcore® Systems Inc., a leading provider of change control software for critical systems, today announced that WorkingRx™, a premier provider of workers' compensation pharmacy claims processing, has deployed Solidcore's S3 Control™ solution to prevent unauthorized and unwanted change from occurring on critical workers' compensation claims processing systems. The Solidcore deployment helps ensure continuous compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standard, and improve service availability for WorkingRx pharmacy customers. The solution also reduces WorkingRx's support costs and resources required for monitoring change and documenting compliance across the pharmacy systems.
WorkingRx transfers the labor and risk of accepting workers' compensation claims from the pharmacy to WorkingRx. The pharmacy is guaranteed payment on all adjudicated prescriptions, and patients are guaranteed a full 30-day supply of their medications. To maintain high availability, control and compliance across these critical systems, WorkingRx has deployed Solidcore's S3 Control software to enforce the WorkingRx change policy and process. This is helping WorkingRx ensure changes made to its critical systems have been verified and adhere to the established change management policy.
"Unauthorized and out-of-policy changes to our infrastructure can jeopardize compliance and the availability of systems our pharmacy and insurance carrier customers depend on," said Luke Saban, CFO for WorkingRx. "Solidcore has become an instrumental partner in our efforts. Whether change is attempted from inside our organization or externally, Solidcore ensures that only approved changes by an authorized WorkingRx source are executed on our servers. This has helped us greatly reduce our overall IT costs."
In addition to WorkingRx, the Solidcore S3 Control product is deployed in IT organizations around the world to increase the availability of IT services, enable the successful implementation of ITIL projects and reduce the cost of compliance initiatives. Solidcore's change control software is the industry's first and only solution to provide technology-based change policy enforcement to automatically ensure changes made to the infrastructure are in-line with the change policy. The product enables enterprise IT customers to gain real-time visibility into changes across the entire IT infrastructure, and reconcile changes with an existing change management system. Customers have also leveraged Solidcore to quickly and easily generate compliance reports for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) audits.
"Service-oriented businesses like WorkingRx no longer need to accept the high-cost of manually tracking, documenting and controlling change for maintaining the availability and compliance of their critical systems," said Bob Vieraitis, vice president of marketing for Solidcore. "Solidcore provides automated change policy enforcement to ensure all change is driven through approved process, while also documenting any emergency change and eliminating detrimental ad hoc change that occurs outside of process and can cause a service outage."
