Solidcore Launches 'Solidified-for-Change' Partner Program to Meet Growing Demand for Automated Change Control

Resellers, Systems Integrators and Solution Providers Prefer Solidcore for Unique Change Policy Enforcement Capabilities |
PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 19, 2006 – Solidcore Systems, Inc., the leader in adding control to change management, today announced its new “Solidified-for-Change” partner program for value-added resellers (VARs), systems integrators and solution providers. The program enables channel partners to improve system and service availability for their clients by deploying Solidcore’s real-time change control software.
Independent research has shown that 60-80% of system unavailability is caused by incorrectly applied change, which includes changes made at unauthorized times, changes made without an approved change ticket and improperly executed changes. The incorrectly applied changes occur because of a gap between the IT change management processes and the ability to understand and enforce actual changes to the infrastructure. Solidcore’s Solidified-for-Change program enables partners to close the change gap and improve system availability for their clients with automated enforcement of change policies, real-time change tracking and validation of change activity against change tickets.
"The demand for change control is growing rapidly among our customers who want to maximize service availability and reduce IT costs," said Ken Stainsby, president of Nashco, a leading provider of service management and security solutions, and a Solidified-for-Change partner. "Solidcore gives us a competitive advantage by providing our clients with real-time tracking capabilities across servers, desktops and databases, and also allows customers to enforce change policies already established through existing change management processes."
The new Solidified-for-Change partner program is designed for VARs, systems integrators and solution providers that provide IT optimization, service management and compliance solutions. Solidcore works closely with new and existing partners to provide sales and technical training, pre- and post-sales support, as well as a variety of joint marketing programs to build momentum.
"Any manufacturer from automotive, to medical devices, to consumer goods needs the ability to control change elements within a plant environment to achieve maximize efficiency and process enforcement," said Rob Markevics, vice president of manufacturing systems for VIA Information Tools, a Troy, Mich.-based manufacturing information domain expert and Solidified-for-Change partner. "Our customers are continuously looking for products that will automate and streamline their manufacturing processes so that they can be properly enforced. Solidcore’s S3 Control solution, which will be branded under VIA’s suite of products, automates the process of tracking changes throughout the infrastructure and links actual changes with existing change management systems. This ensures that all changes are known and appropriately executed."
Solidcore S3 Control is easily configurable for resellers and systems integrators to increase the availability of IT services, enable the successful implementation of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) projects and reduce the cost of compliance initiatives such as Sarbanes-Oxley. Solidcore’s change control software provides real-time visibility into what changes are being made, reconciliation of actual changes with existing change-ticketing systems, and is the first solution to provide technology-based change policy enforcement to automatically ensure changes made to the infrastructure are in-line with the change policy.
"Understanding and controlling change is at the heart of service availability for today’s IT organizations, and we look forward to extending our customer success through the new Solidified-for-Change partner program," said Bob Vieraitis, vice president of marketing for Solidcore. "Solidcore is first to provide automated, real-time change tracking and change policy enforcement, which enables customers to quickly and easily pinpoint the who, what, when, where and why of changes to the infrastructure – reducing costly outages and improving service availability."
